General Rules:
Raceway Responsibilities:
1.
Raceway will open tech 30 minutes prior
to any scheduled race is to begin..
2.
All cars will be teched and impounded.
3.
All impounded cars will be taken to the
track for the start of the race.
4.
Track time between classes will be a
maximum of 15 minutes.
Racer Responsibilities:
1.
Racers must participate in corner
marshaling. Racers must marshal the same class
as they race.
2.
Cars must be available for tech-in during
the race prior to the class you are racing.
3.
Anyone caught cheating will FORFEIT
all points and winning for that class, on
that day.
4.
Cooperation from everyone to conduct
races on a timely basis.
5.
Sportsmanlike conduct is MANDATORY.
6.
Marshal abuse will NOT be
tolerated.
a.
First offense will result in a deduction
of 5 laps.
b.
Second offense will result in a 10 lap
deduction.
c.
Third offense will result in an
EXPULSION from that class for that day.
Lap Counter:
1.
The lap counter will be considered
correct unless it can be proven otherwise. If a
major error occurs in the counting process that
cannot be corrected, the race director may:
a.
Assign responsible stewards to count laps
or verify the counter.
b.
Restart the segment.
c.
Restart the race form the last possible
point.
2.
For a major error in counting, the steps
taken should preserve as much of the race as
possible, while remaining as fair as possible.
3.
There will be NO ADDING or
subtracting of laps due to drivers inability to
control his car or marshaling error.
4.
If the car skids past or over the
counter, the car goes back on where it stops
AFTER the lap counter.
Track Calls:
1.
The power will only turned off for
extremely unfair or dangerous situations. The
following are the only acceptable reasons:
a.
Braid up.
b.
Power failure.
c.
Debris in the slot.
d.
An Unmarshalable car.
e.
Lap counter or track equipment failure.
f.
Insufficient number of marshals at
President’s discretion.
g.
Too many cars off is NOT a track
call.
2.
During the track call, there will be
absolutely no work performed on the car or
lane. Doing so will result in a 20 lap
penalty. A second infraction will result in a
disqualification. This includes work on the car
or lane by pit helpers of the driver.
Black Flag:
The race director is obliged to black flag any
car, which is dragging, interfering with other
cars or continuously de-slotting due to
mechanical problems. Upon being black flagged,
the driver must bring the car in for repairs
immediately. If the problem is not corrected,
the black flag may be enforced again as
required.
Lane Change:
All drivers are required to use a lane change
card in-between heats.
Protests:
Anybody can protest a look for $5.00, but if the
car needs to be taken apart, it will cost $10.00
more. Anybody can protest anything if they put
up $10.00. Then the $10.00 will go to the race
series. Then, a NORTH CENTRAL/S.C.O.R.E.
official will take apart the car and check for
any illegal parts.
Race Format:
For all NC USSCA classes will run 3 minute heats
with a 2 minute lane change. All SCORE oval
races will run 2 minute heats with a 2 minute
lane change.
Entry Fees:
All race entries at C & R Raceway will be $5.00
a race. Entry fees may rise for any special or
National Events. |
